Uncertainty is the birthplace of creativity, growth and discovery.

For uncertainty to exist, there must be lapses in effectiveness.

This comes with the territory of the unknown.

A classic entrepreneurial example is, "How can I create a solution that people can buy that beats the other product?".

The reason why you had that question pop up in your head is uncertainty.

You are uncertain that you can develer a better product.

So what do you do to combat that?

Innovate.

How do you innovate?

Well, start with the basics.

What does my customer want? That's discovery.

How can I make this product affordable, consistent, hell, even the basic features that provide? That's creativity.

How can I sell my product or get the skills necessary to perform these functions? That's growth.

As you can see, doubt creates the environment and the situations for creativity, growth, and discovery of new skills, prospective and solutions to exist.

To be uncertain, is to grow.

If complete certainty exists and there are no doubts, you will never grow resulting in the stagnation and death of your project as your competition does posse doubts and therefore grow.

A choice made now is better than one delayed by the unknown.

In life, you are never going to get the full picture. You make do in the situation with the facts presented that's all you can do.

But your decisions today, cannot be delayed because you only get so many of days.

To quote Paton: "A good plan, violently executed now, beats a well-thought out plan executed next week".

Why is this the case?

You are not the only one making decisions in your environment.

Everyday, every single people makes decisions that alter your environment.

Take for instance Subway, they are not the only ones making decisions that impact their industry.

Jersey's Mikes is directly competing. Firehouse is directly competing so on and so on.

You do not have time to make perfect plans, when the environment is changing you are not the only one executing plans.

This is not a math equation where you are the only variable.

You have your equation; someone else has theirs.

That is the truth.

You have to make a decision today and violently execute it.

When you make that choice w/ courage today, it beats the one delayed by the unknown.

That's why you should also develop your improvisational skills as roadblocks present themselves.

It's the difference between success and failure.

Understanding the unknown brings you closer to clarity.

What you consume drives your thinking.

When learning a new concept, take it in.

Treat is as gospel.

What you put out being your interperation should exude doubt as that is your understanding countering the widely spread understanding.

Then ideas can fight. When ideas fight, they get stronger, they get more well thoughtout.

If you analysis, beats their analysis then the widely accepted incorrect "truth" gets defeated and society benefits.

Moral of the story: when learning be open-minded and unjudgmental, then creating your own view point, which you should do as a critically thinking professional, then you can fight the current viewpoint and flesh it out. Either way, society's truth either gets stronger and you obtain new perspectives or society truth comes down and society benefits.

Inhale calm, exhale doubt.
