NEW LC WHEELS PRESIDENT

"Thank-you for visiting our page. I was recently appointed President to succeed Jerome Tanner who recently retired from the Board of Directors after years of volunteer service.

"We are a volunteer Board of Directors and we welcome interest from any Lunenburg County citizens who might enjoy serving on the Board or upon one of our Committees such as Communications, Operations, Finance, Human Resources and Fund Raising. Our responsibility is to ensure the management of the LCW fosters a safe, secure and dependable means of transport to the citizens of Lunenburg County."

"We exist to provide non-profit, low-cost door-to-door community transportation service for residents of all ages.

"Many of our clients do not own vehicles. They depend upon LCW for access to food and shopping, for medical appointments, for community, social and recreational events. Many do not have access to other transport options. Some are disabled or have very low income. Many do not have others upon whom they can depend for transportation assistance. Last year we provided over 14,000 rides to clients. Safe and affordable transportation is a necessity for healthy community life.

We appreciate the ongoing government support Provincial, Federal and Municipal. We thank the organizations and businesses who also contribute funds to our ongoing public service mission. Be sure to read our Newsletters to keep up to date. Thank-you for your interest in Lunenburg County Wheels.

Come by and say Hello at our booth at Seniors Expo tomorrow (Wednesday, June 17) 11 am - 2 pm. Although our door-to-door service is now for all ages, ( seniors of course!) continue to be important passengers.

Community Connections & Healthy Family Day this Sunday!

Join us for a fun and engaging day celebrating community, connection, and local services – 41 of them, plus us, the Town of Bridgewater!

Community Connections Day brings together local organizations, programs, and community groups all in one place. This is a great opportunity to meet local service providers, learn about programs and activities available in our area, and connect with others in the community.

South Shore Regional Auxiliary has made a $30,000 donation to LC Wheels. What wonderful gift! Thank you so much. You certainly showed up at the Reception in style on all counts.

COOKIE DAY

Cookies have been presented today to passengers and drivers to help celebrate the second anniversary of LC Wheels' full expansion to all western Lunenburg County.

THANK YOU ! RECEPTION

Lunenburg County Wheels hosted a Reception to thank Funders, Donors and Sponsors at South Shore Centre yesterday noontime. Seventeen representatives of businesses, service groups, legions, foundations, government agencies and elected officials from all three levels of government received Thank You ! scrolls from President Jerome Tanner. And then ate cake!

The event was part of marking the 2nd anniversary of LC Wheels' expansion to all western Lunenburg County (Bridgewater, Lunenburg, Mahone Bay and all MODL communities.

Well good news from the Premiers Office today CTAP and some other critical funding will be restored to 2025/26 levels for 2026/27. It is nice to see the democratic process is still working!
