In response to increasing concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic, Ontdel Ltd. will be making certain changes to its daily operations. The health and well being of our staff, customers, and community is our priority.
We are OPEN FOR BUSINESS, and will strive to continue to service all of your needs, but are implementing steps to limit in-person interactions and promoting healthy work environments.
We WILL CONTINUE to book local, provincial, interprovincial and US-Canada shipments. We realize our role in the ongoing service to Canadians. Ontdel Ltd. delivers many essential products on behalf of our clients โ including food, water, medicine, medical supplies, hygiene products โ every day. During any escalation of the COVID-19 situation, it is vital that these services are maintained and accessible for Canadians.
Therefore, we are implementing the following:
Pick up and delivery of shipments will be completed according to your company's most recent health and safety protocols (i.e. call-ahead, leave product in designated location, etc.). Clients that have not altered their shipping and receiving procedures will note that we will not be requiring signing of waybills or proof-of-deliveries (please instruct shipper/receiver to simply provide the name to the delivery driver to log as signature). Kindly informs us of ANY changes to your company protocols.
We ask that customers call or email with inquiries instead of visiting the office or having on-site contact with drivers. While all of our usual customer service channels are available to you, email ( [email protected] ) and phone ( 800-363-5557 / 519-759-2220 ) remain the fastest and most convenient way to communicate with us, 24-7. Additionally, you can make your bookings via an online form at ontdel.com, or by downloading the Digital Waybill app at http://www.dwaybill.com/OntDel.
Finally, we want you to know that we have requested all Ontdel Ltd. employees to heed every guidance from Health Canada, and provincial and local authorities - including travel and gathering limitations, as well as hygiene and disinfection procedures, including service vehicles. We will be adding to our drivers' current health and safety equipment and equipping them with ways to sanitize their hands and their work areas multiple times a day. Face masks are also available. We are instructing any Ontdel Ltd. employee or representative returning from travel or feeling unwell to stay at home for the recommended period.
Together, transportation networks and many of the businesses they serve, play an important role in providing Canadians with the essential services noted above. Working together is critically important now as we work through current and future COVID19 impacts.
Thank you for your continued support,
Marcel Klema
