Terry Fox Run - Clarington Join us for this year's Terry Fox Run in beautiful Clarington! Our beautiful route uses the lovely trail system through the Bowmanville and Soper Creek Valleys.

Registration: 8:00 am - 10:00 am
Official Start: Ceremonies 9:30 am, official start 10:00 am
Location: Memorial Park - Liberty Street South - Bowmanville, ON
Main intersection: Liberty Street and Park Street
Side street parking only and Durham Region Transit accessible. What will be provided: Free BBQ (until 12:30pm) and water
Available on site: Live music (Coup-de-Ville)

Route In

Bicycle, Stroller, and Wheelchair accessible. Sections not Rollerblade friendly
Dog friendly but dogs must be on a leash. Route distance: 5 km, and 10 km

Leo was such a kind soul, always willing to help. He was a dedicated volunteer at the Terry Fox Run and a staple marshal at the corner of King and Scugog. We will miss you Leo.

’Twas the night before Terry Fox Run, and all through the town, The posters were ready, the routes all laid down. The sneakers were lined by the doorway with care, In hopes that tomorrow, the runners’d be there.
The All Star Crew rested, their work all complete, With Ashlyn still planning each detail so neat. And Mum with her runners, and Dad with his cap, Were stretching and yawning, preparing to nap.
When out on the street there arose such a cheer, The spirit of Terry was felt far and near. Through Clarington’s roads and its trails winding tight, We’d gather together at dawn’s early light.
With courage and hope, every runner will say: “We’ll finish it proudly, we’ll run it today!

45 years ago on Sept 1 1980, after running 5,373 km in 143 days, Terry Fox was forced to stop his Marathon of Hope outside of Thunder Bay, Ontario, because his cancer had spread to his lungs. Looking for this year’s Terry Fox Run merch? Interested in a vintage Terry Fox Run shirt from previous years? Want to support cancer research?

Look no further! We’re here to help!

This SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 6th, the Clarington Terry Fox Run Organizers will be set up at 21 BURK COURT, Bowmanville from 9am-2pm! We will have this year’s Cotton Tshirts ($30 each), Drifit Tshirts ($45 each), and Cotton Long-sleeve Shirts ($40 each) as well as a large selection of leftover inventory of shirts from previous years! Sizes range from Youth Medium to XXL.

We will also have tote bags, books, and assorted items with all proceeds going to the Clarington Terry Fox Run!
