On Wednesday, I, along with a small group of fellow travel consultants was able to tour this lovely vessel, the Viking Octanis . She is one of two Viking expedition ships, and she plys the Great Lakes during the summer season and followed by a season sailing Antarctica. We were able to tour all of the public areas such as The Living Room, Mamsen's Norwegian Deli, The Hide (a sweet hidden bar), World Cafe. This ship has an expedition team onboard, to assist with discovering the beauty of the surroundings. Sadly for us, the ship was at full passenger capacity (378 ) and we were unable to view any staterooms (no inside cabins, all have a view). Viking has 3 ship categories: their longships for river cruising, small ocean sailing ships and the two expedition ships, providing guests with great variety of cruise styles and destinations. With so much included in the fare, this could be your next adventure!

Hello!

Exciting things will be happening beginning Friday! I am getting ready to “work” from sea at The Travel Agent Next Door’s annual conference from April 16–26, 2026! Our conference last year was in Mexico, and this year we’ll be sailing on the Celebrity Silhouette with stops in Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao. Bonaire and Curacao are new to me and I'm looking forward to exploring each of them.

In between the sunshine, it’s all business — learning, training, meeting with suppliers, and staying on top of what’s new in travel so I can keep bringing you the best ideas, tips, and experiences. Checking in will be a little slower as I juggle the full day meeting and learning sessions , so please have patience.

I can’t wait to come back with lots of inspiration for your next getaway!
