Cuba Update -

So effective today until April 25th
Sunwing - Flights to Holguin and Cayo Santa Maria have ceased for the time being. Clients who have these destinations booked during this time frame will be refunded including worry free insurance

For Sunwing Clients booked to alternative Cuban Destinations (until Feb 25th) - Sunwing is currently offering flexible rebooking option and clients may make a 1 time change to their departure date or destination at system rates . If the change invoices a higher priced vacation package, the higher amount will be applicable

If clients traveling to these areas (Varadero, Cayo Coco etc) wish to cancel, they will receive a full refund credit issued as a travel voucher

Transat Clients -

Cuba - Update February 09, 2026:

✈️Departures from February 9 to 28, 2026 inclusive:

• Date or destination change with no penalty
or

• Full refund via same method of payment on file

✈️Departures from March 1 to April 30, 2026, inclusive:

• Change of date or destination without penalty, with issuance of a travel credit equal to the value of the original booking.

We continue to closely monitor this situation and will continue to provide updates.

As Canada raises its travel warning for Cuba. Sunwing’s Eric Rodriguez tells Open Jaw that it’s status quo for trips to the island nation: “As of this moment, there are no interruptions in service to Cuba.”
