Some moves take a little more truck.

Larger homes, bigger households and more complex moves can require extra equipment, additional movers and more than one truck to keep everything moving efficiently.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Barrie & Central Ontario can scale the crew and equipment to fit the move, whether it’s a smaller local move or a larger household with a lot to get from one place to the next.

The important part is building the right plan before moving day starts.

Fall moving in Central Ontario comes with a few extra things to think about.

Cooler mornings, wet leaves, softer ground and shorter daylight hours can all affect moving day.

A little preparation helps. Keep walkways clear, make sure outdoor lights are working if the day runs late, and let the moving team know about any soft ground, steep driveways or tricky access before the truck arrives.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Barrie & Central Ontario helps customers move throughout Barrie and the surrounding communities in every season.

Not every move fits through the front door.

Here’s one from the Barrie archives where getting everything moved safely took a little more than the usual route.

Large, awkward or difficult-to-access items can sometimes require extra planning, careful protection and specialized equipment to get the job done.

Moves have changed a lot over the years, but figuring out how to handle the difficult pieces has always been part of the job at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Barrie & Central Ontario.

Anyone remember this one?

Today, we recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We remember the children who never returned home, honour Survivors of residential schools, and recognize the families and Indigenous communities who continue to live with the impacts of this history.

Today is a day to listen, learn and reflect.

We are excited to celebrate and wish everyone a Happy Canada Day! 🇨🇦

Movers for Moms®2026 is officially in the books, and it was another successful year for the program! 💜

This is the second year of Movers for Moms for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK's Canadian locations, and we were able to make positive strides bringing this giving program to Canada. Partnering with 32 different community partners across the country, we were able to collect 4,520 essential care items that were donated to women's and family shelters on or around Mother's Day.

Take a look at some of the highlights from this year's Movers for Moms program in the video below and see how our franchises were able to partner with their communities to make a difference in the lives of others!
