Balaam Eco Adventures is opening a Charitable Foundation and its five main purposes are as follows:
1)Provide Scholarships to needy students in Belize.
2)Provide donations of school Supplies through our guests donations and partnerships
3)Facilitate Community Outreach Programmes
4)Create incentives and opportunities for under privileged students in Belize.
5)Facilitate Medical and Dental clinics with the assistance of Volunteer US Medical Professionals.
The three businesses of Balaam Eco Adventures, Belize Private Shuttles & Flights and Oscar Castaneda Photography will each donate 10% of its revenue along with Fund Raising events for The Foundation which will be opened this year.
The name we chose was Life Changing Foundation as this is the overall purpose of Balaam Eco Adventures Foundation. The registry in Belmopan does not want to register this name.
With this in mind we are turning to you our friends to assist us. We are now having a FOUNDATION NAMING COMPETITION. To enter this competition you need to

2)Follow the 4 criteria below and in the comments Write your idea for Balaam Eco Adventures Foundation name.
THE BEST AND MOST ORIGINAL NAME THAT MEETS THE FOUR CRITERIAS AND FIVE PURPOSES WILL WIN A NIGHT AT A BEACH FRONT RESORT IN SAN PEDRO FOR TWO.
Deadline is 20th, September 2016 and winner will be announced on our 35th Belize Independence Day on 21st September, 2016
1)STRATEGIC CRITERIA
A)Meaningful: Does the name support the positioning and reflect the essence of your organization/brand?
B)Relevant: Is the name relevant to the key audiences you are trying to reach (group served, donors, volunteers, etc)?
C)Distinctive: Does the name stand out from the names of other organizations in your community? On the web?
D)Sustainable: Does it position the company for growth, change and success or does it box you in?
E)Visual: Lends itself well to both graphic and text presentation.
F)(Bonus) Modular: Lets you build brand extensions in the future. Think FedEx Ground, FedEx Express, FedEx Office.
2)FUNCTIONAL CRITERIA
A)Proper Context: Does the name work within the context of what is being communicated?
Contextual/Suggestive/
B)Evocative: Does it describes something like the location or sector (contextual)? Suggest an idea like multi-cultural or changing the world
C)(Suggestive)? Generates a feeling or emotion like grace or hope (Evocative)?
D)Domain Available: Are there any available web domains that could be used with the name? Ideally while keeping it under 12 characters.
3)LINGUISTIC CRITERIA
A)Understandable: Is the name easy to understand and explain
B)Pronounceable: Can people easily pronounce it?
C)Positive: It should have a positive tone and be free from inappropriate connotations in both yours and other languages and cultures.
4)LEGAL CRITERIA
A)Unique: Is it available for use (i.e. not already taken) and protectable as a trademark in all relevant classes?
B)Designator?: In around 50% of states it is required that you to end your legal name with a designator, such as “Corp”, “Inc.”, or “Ltd.” We recommend leaving this out of your logo and regular brand usage though.
C)Off Limits: Do not use words that are reserved for state purposes, such as “federal” or “national.”
