Trans Island Airways is aware of recent reports of a passenger landing a small aircraft after the pilot experienced medical issues. Several news organizations have chosen to run this story with stock photos of a Trans Island Airways aircraft. We were not in any way involved in this event and have no relationship with the operator of the aircraft involved. We have asked that these news organizations take down these photos. Starting November 1st, 2020 you are invited to come to the Bahamas or return home with no quarantine, no test on arrival and when you fly with Trans Island Airways no hassle.

Coming to the Bahamas with Trans Island is now an easy 3 step process.

2. Schedule a COVID-19 RT-PCR Test within 5 days of your flight

3. Apply for your Travel visa at www.travel.gov.bs

When you land, a COVID-19 representative will administer a quick health questionnaire and take your temperature and you will be free to go and enjoy the Islands of The Bahamas.

Following the Prime Minister of The Bahamas’ address in the house of Assembly on October 7th, 2020, there have been a number of changes to the COVID-19 policies on the islands of New Providence, Abaco and its surrounding cays.

Air Travel remains unchanged and all of Trans Island Airways’ scheduled flights will continue as planned. We remain available for any charter flights that are needed. Passengers will be allowed to enter and leave The Bahamas at any port.

For passengers traveling during the curfew and weekend lockdowns, please follow the procedure outlined below.

1. Prior to leaving your house call the COVID-19 Hotline and inform them you are scheduled to fly with Trans Island Airways. They will need your car details (make, model, color, license plate #) and the route of travel.

2. In your car, do not travel with any more people than necessary, and make sure to have a copy of your confirmation available either electronically or printed.

Masks are required to be worn at all times in our terminal facilities and onboard.

To enter The Bahamas passengers must have a RT-PCR COVID-19 Test administered within 5 days with negative results.

Inbound Travel Visas can be obtained at travel.gov.bs
