Sharing this this month’s happiness calendar, let’s all try to do something that brightens someone else's day!💕

Joyful June is all about discovering daily actions to appreciate what's good, even in tough times. ⛅️

At the General Aviation Centre, we know that joy & kindness travels far, just like the pilots who fly across our beautiful Bahamian islands, and whether you're navigating the skies or navigating daily life, a simple act of kindness can change someone's course for the better. ☺️

From greeting crews with a smile to going the extra mile for passengers, the GAC family knows that when we make others feel good, we feel good too.🥰

Happy crews. Happy passengers. A happier world, starting right here in the Bahamas. 😎🏝✈💕

Let’s lift each other up this month, on the ground and in the air.😃✈💕

SEVERE WEATHER WARNING UPDATE

The Bahamas Department of Meteorology has re-issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning and Watch valid from 4:35 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday 1st June 2026.

The Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the Berry Islands along with its adjacent waters and cays has ended.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is now in effect for North & Central Eleuthera.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect for New Providence and now includes North Andros.

At 4:30 pm, lightning detection, observation, radar, and satellite imagery continued to depict a robust line of moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms moving across and towards the warning and watch areas. These showers and thunderstorms are associated with a moist unstable air mass and troughing stemming from an area of low pressure east of the state of Georgia.

Some of these showers will be locally heavy and thunderstorms will be strong and severe at times causing strong gusty winds, dangerous lightning, heavy downpours, possible hail, waterspout and/or tornadic activity. Localized flooding is also possible during these storms.

Boaters in the warning areas should seek safe harbor and residents should stay indoors and away from windows when conditions worsen. Residents should not seek shelter under trees or in water as these can become lightning conductors.
