Our time with my Parents are coming to an end here in the Bahamas! Tomorrow we drop them off at 10:30am to the airport. Boo!
We have had an amazing time and we are so thankful and happy they came!
Yesterday we went to Owls Hole! I very large hole in the island with a freshwater reservoir! It was pretty gloomy and not sunny at all so the water was actually pretty dark in some spots, dare I say black even!
We took turns climbing down the ladder but none of us had the guts to cliff jump into it! Plenty of videos online of people doing it! If it was sunnier, I think I would’ve, better visibility for the fear of the unknown in the water!
After that we went to lucaya marketplace and ate at Cappuchinos - an itialian fine dining restaurant! Our server was the exact same server at banana bay beach club! Two jobs! He had to be maybe 20, young hustler!!
After that we made our way to Pier one - it’s right on the inlet to Freeport harbour, so that was cool to get my eyes on. We also passed Bradford marine while on the way - holy cow 10x the business than the boatyard I choose. But maybe that means I will get better service being a much smaller yard. We shall see.
At pier one at 7pm, 8pm, and 9pm, they feed the sharks off their dock! You can pay $10 to get a bunch of pieces of raw chicken and feed them yourself too! My parents think the chicken was like expired or something cause it smelt funnnnkkyy! Right as 7pm hit a giant storm rolled in. Lighting through the sky, tons of rain, and Velma’s worse nightmare, THUNDER! Fear of her pi***ng or pooping in our boat, we asked our dock neighbors if they would be willing to check on her. When we got back to our boat Carly, Guys partner, was in our boat cuddling Velma. It was perfect. We can’t thank them enough! They are also leaving tonight 😭😭😭 Guy and Carly have been amazing to get to know. And their very small barking dog hoomi, he’s so cute! They are in a few of our YouTube videos now and we now have lifelong cruisin friends. They are actually leaving their boat in Westland boatyard in Titusville, that’s where we left Robin last hurricane season!
Today my parents want us to take them out sailing. It should be a decent day for it. We will go around 11-12, for maybe 4-5 hours of sailing. The inlet exits south, and the wind is coming from the south, so I can ride up either side of the island and have a great sail.
Still enjoying the Bahamas!!!
Unfortunately I only took videos yesterday, so I will try to get pictures from Dawn or Bri and add them!
