Honoring a True Community Hero

On National Heroes Day, our very own Shaolint Jammy was awarded the Medal of Bravery by the Governor General in recognition of his continuous and selfless contributions to the community in times of need.

From assisting in rescue efforts during Hurricane Dorian to bravely fighting fires that threatened homes and businesses earlier this year, Shaolin has consistently placed the safety and well-being of others above his own. His courage and commitment embody the true spirit of service.

What makes this recognition even more meaningful is that Shaolin is someone who never seeks the spotlight. Beyond these widely known acts, he quietly dedicates his time and effort to countless other forms of community service—always lending a hand wherever it’s needed, without expectation of praise or reward.

We at B & B Galaxy Waste are proud to celebrate Shaolin not only as a valued member of our team but also as a genuine leader and role model within our community. His humility, bravery, and unwavering sense of duty inspire us all.

We are always delighted to sponsor events that benefit our community, and we were proud to be a sponsor of this year's 2nd Annual High Tea Society "Bridgerton"-inspired Tea Party, where all proceeds went to The Grand Bahama Children’s Home.

What brings us even more joy is receiving such wonderful feedback from those who use our facilities. Thank you for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful cause.
