EXCITING NEWS ♻ | Zhik is proud to launch a new recycling pilot program called reZHIKle.

Whilst our focus is innovating more eco-friendly garments, what happens to them at the end of life is equally as important. Zhik’s high quality wetsuits are made to perform and last the distance. However, when wetsuits do reach the end of their life and need replacing, they can be recycled through our reZHIKle pilot program and given a second life instead of being sent to landfill.

Working with UPPAREL, leaders in textile recovery and garment recycling, SailGP Christchurch will act as the pilot program for reZHIKle, where people can drop off any brand of used wetsuits or skiff suits to be recycled or repurposed and used again.

Breaking news !!! 📣

It was just finalised that Yacht Club "Port Bourgas" in cooperation with BORA Sailing will host the first-ever round of the European Match Race Tour in Bulgaria!

The event is set to take place between the 7th and 9th of July 2023!

The race will be conducted with SB20 Boats in the outstanding sailing conditions in the bay of and we know that the breeze here will deliver an outstanding racing atmosphere for sailors and spectators alike!

The ILCA World Council 2022 was held in Japan this year in last november, right at the Olympic venue in Enoshima during the All Japan ILCA Championships.

During that meeting and event, a nice ceremony was organised for Mr. Takao Otani, as he is joining the ILCA Hall of Fame in recognition of all he has done for the class and the sport of sailing.

Takao-san is just incredible, it is such a nice person when you meet him even the first time, that you hope to be his friend for ever.

He has done so much for the class since 1971 and for the sport of sailing in Japan. May be he has not any gold medal at the Olympics but he is a well-known legend all around the world.

If you visit Japan or meet any Japanese sailors one day, I can give you the password: "Say you are a friend of Takao Otani and you will see the smile in the face of the person in front of you”.

Dear Takao, this cube you received is very small compared to what you have achieved.

Long life to you Takao as the Laser/ ILCA is sailing in your blood for ever.
