The port of Antwerp-Bruges already uses almost 14 of its 15 million TEU capacity, nearly full. 7 million TEU of extra capacity is coming, but not until 2032, with full operation only by 2042.
Inland shipping is part of how the port keeps up in the meantime, every container we move by barge is one less truck on the road, easing pressure on terminals that are already stretched.
Until then, we keep that same flow of goods moving into the hinterland 🌊
