NHV Group is a European based helicopter service provider, specialised in business-to-business helicopter services both offshore & onshore.

The NHV group, based in Ostend Belgium, is specialized in B-to-B helicopter services and has a strong geographic presence in Europe and Western Africa. The group conducts operations out of several bases on the two continents with a team of over 550 employees. NHV’s main focus is on the oil and gas industry. The group has a leading position in Europe as the only helicopter operator that conducts operations in every oil producing country in the region. The scope of work also includes: Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), Maritime Services, which include Search and Rescue (SAR), offshore Wind Farms and Harbor Pilot Services. Vertech Offshore and Airlift are two specialized companies within the NHV group who are leaders in their niche of flare tip replacement and power grid construction and maintenance. Aside from the helicopter operations, NHV is an approved training organization (ATO) and an official service center for our partner Airbus Helicopters. The group has a multipurpose high value fleet of 65 helicopters. Since 2012, NHV has ordered 16 helicopters of the state-of-the-art Airbus Helicopters H175 model and is the global launching customer to fly the H175. NHV’s majority shareholder is Ardian, the independent private investment company with assets of US$60bn managed or advised in Europe, North America and Asia.

Recently, NHV had the privilege of supporting a very special flight in Denmark, bringing together the CEO of INEOS Energy Europe, Mr. Mads Gade, and members of the global press.

The flight was carried out as part of the Greensand Project, INEOS’ pioneering carbon capture and storage initiative, which aims to capture CO₂ and permanently store it beneath the Danish North Sea.

It was a unique opportunity to support the people and story behind a project that is putting Denmark at the forefront of the energy transition and demonstrating what is possible when innovation, technology and collaboration come together.

We are delighted to have supported and to have contributed to a unique perspective from above!

We’re delighted to announce that Darren Weatherby-Boon has been appointed As Aberdeen Base Manager!

Darren has been an important part of NHV for several years and currently serves as Ground Operations Manager for our UK AOC. In his new role, he will continue to oversee these responsibilities alongside his position as Base Manager in Aberdeen.

Aberdeen is NHV’s largest base and plays a vital role in our operations. Darren brings extensive operational experience, a strong understanding of our UK business, and valuable knowledge of our people and day-to-day operations in Aberdeen.

We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Marc Burns, who has been supporting the Aberdeen team as Interim Base Manager. Marc’s commitment, leadership and support have helped ensure continuity for both the team and the operation during this period.

Celebrating the Rotorcraft That Keep Us Moving!

Yesterday was World Helicopter Day, a perfect opportunity to celebrate the incredible machines, technology and people that make vertical flight possible.

We’re proud to operate a diverse fleet across the AW139, AW169, H175 and H145, and this year we were excited to add the Airbus H160 to our fleet. Each aircraft brings its own capabilities, performance and technology, helping us deliver safe, reliable and efficient operations across a wide range of missions.

From the engineering behind every rotor turn to the expertise of the crews who fly them, yesterday was all about celebrating the helicopter and the people who make it possible.

Here’s to innovation, aviation and the future of rotorcraft.

On Saturday, the 25th of July, our Aberdeen Base had an amazing Family Day!

Our colleagues, their families, and our valued clients were welcomed for a day of great company, delicious food, music, and plenty of fun.

One of the highlights was the opportunity to get up close to our aircraft and capture some memorable photos, a unique experience enjoyed by guests of all ages!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success. Events like these are a wonderful reminder that our people, our clients, and our community are at the heart of everything we do.

We’re already looking forward to next year's Family Day!

Taking hospitality to new heights during the Belgian Grand Prix!

During the Belgian Grand Prix Formula 1 weekend (17-19 July), we had the privilege of operating exclusive VIP flights, offering our guests a fast, comfortable, and unforgettable way to travel while experiencing one of the most exciting events on the motorsport calendar.

From seamless arrivals to breath taking views and premium service, it was a pleasure to be part of such an iconic weekend and help make every journey as memorable as the race itself.

A special thank you to Aeroclub Limburgse Vleugels in Zwartberg for the warm welcome and the excellent collaboration. Their flexibility and ability to arrange hangar space for our H145 at very short notice made a real difference and were greatly appreciated.

Yesterday, NHV had the pleasure of hosting Kemi Badenoch, Leader of the Conservative Party, alongside Douglas Lumsden MSP and Harriet Cross MP.

The visit featured a roundtable discussion with key industry leaders, organised by OEUK, focusing on the current UK offshore landscape and the critical role our sector plays in supporting energy security, sustaining highly skilled jobs, and driving economic growth.

Following the discussion, the NHV team provided a guided tour, highlighting the essential role helicopters play in enabling and supporting offshore operations.

NHV is proud to contribute to the strength of the UK energy sector, and we look forward to continuing this important dialogue.
