Happy International Women's Rights Day !
On the occasion of IWD this 8 March, we are delighted to share a rare moment captured on one of our long‑haul flights: two women pilots at the controls of a 747.
While mixed‑gender crews are standard across the network, having two women together on the iconic B747 remains uncommon and an inspiring sight for us.
🛫👩✈️Captain Cindy and First Officer Emilie invite us into their world, offering an authentic glimpse of their routines, their passion, and their message of confidence and possibility. Above all, they embody a simple yet powerful conviction: “It’s possible.”✨
Possible to chase a dream, to persevere, and to claim one’s place at the controls. Their story opens a window of inspiration for young people - girls and boys alike - showing that the cockpit is a destination within reach.
Through this, we pay tribute to all the women who keep aviation moving - on the ground and in the air - with the same rigor, commitment, and determination as their male colleagues, contributing every day in a spirit of collaboration and mutual respect.
