A first for Levaco: our RoRo department is officially on the move 🚢🚗

We’re proud to share the debut project of our new RoRo department
--> handling the transportation of rolling cargo from Antwerp to its destination.

From coordinating the vehicles and documentation to arranging loading and shipping, our team managed the different steps to make sure everything was ready to go.

This first project marks the beginning of a new service for Levaco, focused on cars, trucks, machinery and other rolling cargo.

Some cars deserve more than the ordinary road trip. 🏎️✈️

We recently handled the air freight transportation of high-end sports cars from Brussels to Dubai, managing the shipment from pickup to arrival.

For performance and luxury vehicles, every step matters , from secure handling and loading to documentation and coordination with everyone involved.

Whether it’s a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Mercedes-AMG or another exclusive vehicle, the same principle applies: precision, careful planning and the right attention to detail.

A thought from Luk Mertens that made its way onto our office whiteboard:

“Efficiency is doing things right; effectiveness is doing the right things. Logistics must do both.”

And honestly, it’s a pretty good way to sum up logistics.

There’s a lot more to it than moving a shipment from A to B. It’s about making the right choices, keeping an eye on what’s ahead, and knowing when to adapt.

Are you a bit confused? Let's break it down a bit:

It's pretty simple, this S76 helicopter started in the 🇺🇸, went to Lagos 🇳🇬 for repairs, then shipped to Antwerp 🇧🇪, trucked to Zeebrugge 🇧🇪, and is now heading back to Tacoma 🇺🇸.

In the photos, you can see the helicopter being received early in the day at the port, carefully lifted, and safely placed on a MAFI (a wheeled platform that makes loading large cargo onto ships easier) before being loaded onto a truck later in the evening to continue its journey.
