Back home and it’s time to go through Olive and fix, replace, repair and service her, first job sorting out the broken wheel. With 14 broken spokes and 9 bent ones it’s was time to replace all the spokes, we couldn’t sort any from Ural so we’ve had two sets made from Willis Wheels. Old spokes taken out and the new ones in wheel aligned torqued tyre back on and balanced, I’ve put the wheel back on the bike and will check it over after a few miles, while it’s on I’ll go though the other wheel.

After leaving Luxembourg we headed into Belgium and up to Brugge for a few days sightseeing and beer tasting. From there it was a short ride to Calais and the euro tunnel back to the uk and home, it’s been a fantastic trip, 8500 miles, 15 countries, new tyres broken spokes and lots of laughs, thankyou all for sharing it with us, now it’s time to check Olive over sort all the wobbly broken bits out, wash and service her and get her ready for the next adventure.

After leaving Bratislava we headed through Austria Germany and into Luxembourg, the plan was to slowly start making our way towards home finding places to camp along the way, this didn’t go to plan, but instead one campsite and three hotels. Although we still cooked camp style sort of 😜.

We left Krakow, Poland and headed for the border into Slovakia with a nights camping then onto to the capital Bratislava.

Sorry we’re a bit behind on the updates. After spending a few days in Gdansk we moved on south through Poland towards Krakow with an overnight stop in Lodz, once in Krakow we spent days looking around, we went to the salt mines looked around the old town, visited the Jewish Getto and Jewish quarter. The salt mines were interesting with lots of salt sculptures, we found the old town very touristy with plenty of stag do’s going on, by far our favourite was the Jewish quarter, which had lots of fascinating buildings, bars and restaurants all with a great atmosphere and once the tour buggies had stopped it was mainly locals enjoying the evening.

Photo dump, from Kaunas heading down though Lithuania to Grūtas park then over the border into Poland we made our way over to a campsite near the Wolfs lair. We spend a couple of hours looking around and reading the information before setting of to Gdansk where we are now.

This Ural bike and side car belong to Steve & Julie who we met on our travels in Norway. After attending the they set off on a tour and have been travelling since!
