Bali is an Indonesian island known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, beaches and coral reefs. The island is home to religious sites such as cliffside Uluwatu Temple. To the south, the beachside city of Kuta has lively bars, while Seminyak, Sanur and Nusa Dua are popular resort towns. The island is also known for its yoga and meditation retreats.

SENTOSA ISLAND

Island

Located just 15 minutes from the city, Sentosa, The State of Fun, is home to an exciting array of themed attractions, award-winning spa retreats, lush rainforests, golden sandy beaches, resort accommodations, world-renowned golf courses, a deep-water yachting marina and luxurious residences. Spread over 500 hectares, the vibrant island resort is ideal for both business and leisure.

In 2010, Sentosa welcomed Singapore’s first integrated resort, Resorts World™ Sentosa, which operates South East Asia’s first Universal Studios theme park.

Located on the tranquil eastern end of the island sits Sentosa Cove, Singapore’s first and most exclusive marina residential community. This exclusive and unrivalled enclave offers tropical resort living, just minutes away from Singapore's city centre. With an already bustling residential community, Sentosa Cove will see over 2,000 homes nestled here by 2014. Together with romantic quayside restaurants, retail and specialty shops, Singapore’s only truly oceanfront residences, Sentosa Cove is quickly becoming the world’s most desirable address.

The Island is also proud to be home to Sentosa Golf Club and its two acclaimed golf courses, The Serapong and The Tanjong. These courses and the club set the backdrop for the Singapore Open for eight years running and is the host venue for the HSBC Women’s Champions.

The island resort is managed by Sentosa Development Corporation, which works with various stakeholders in overseeing property investments, attractions development, operation of the various leisure offerings, and management of the residential precinct on the island. The Corporation also manages the Southern Islands, and owns Mount Faber Leisure Group, which runs Singapore’s only cable car service.

Welcoming a growing number of local and international guests every year, Sentosa is Asia’s leading leisure destination and an essential part of Singapore’s goal to be a global destination to work, live and play

Langkawi is a group of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea, off the northwestern coastline of Peninsular Malaysia and known as Pulau Lagenda, or Legendary Island with good reason. The island has been designated a UNESCO Global Geopark, Southeast Asia's first, and Malaysia's pride. Tourists come here for the delightful beaches, superb resorts and refreshing nature-based activities. It is also well known for its diversified festivals and events held throughout the year and is a duty-free island, providing a desirable variety of products of local and international standards.

The island is home to approximately 200 species of birds, of which about one third are migrants and a nature lover's perfect location for a holiday getaway. It has breath-taking views of the rainforest, the mountains and the countryside. Lovers of adventures can take a walk through the tropical rainforests that rise on the Gunung Raya which is the highest mountain in Langkawi. Another activity is Cave Exploring. Langkawi is full of caves and fissures. Mangrove tours are a must and there are many locations for this activity.

LANGKAWI BEACHES AND ACCOMMODATION

The most popular beaches for tourists to relax, sunbathe, swim, shop and dine are Pantai Cenang, Pantai Tengah at the south-west coast and Pantai Kok in the west. You can choose your type of place to stay from low key chalets to luxury resorts and surely find what suits your taste perfectly. On the north coast Datai Bay is where some of the island's most exclusive resorts and private villas can be found. Here is also the location of the 72-par Datai Golf Course, surrounded by tropical plants and trees, nestled on the edge of the rainforest.

Taman Negara was established at the Titiwangsa Mountains, Malaysia, in 1938/1939 as the King George V National Park. It was renamed to Taman Negara after independence, which literally means "national park" in Malay. Taman Negara has a total area of 4,343 km2 and has a reputation as the world's oldest tropical rainforest, estimated to be more than 130 million years old.[1][2]

Taman Negara encompasses three states, Pahang, Kelantan and Terengganu, each with its own legislation. The Taman Negara Enactment (Pahang) No. 2 of 1939 is enforced in the state of Pahang, the Taman Negara Enactment (Kelantan) No. 14 of 1938 in the state of Kelantan and the Taman Negara Enactment (Terengganu) No. 6 of 1939 in the state of Terengganu. The enactments have similar contents.

Taman Negara Pahang is the largest at 2,477 km2, followed by Taman Negara Kelantan at 1,043 km2 and Taman Negara Terengganu at 853 km2.
Canopy walkway

The park has been developed into a famous ecotourism destination in Malaysia. There are several geological and biological attractions in the park. Gunung Tahan is the highest point of the Malay Peninsula; climbers can use Kuala Tahan or Merapoh[3] as their departure point. Taman Negara is the home of some rare mammals, such as the Malayan tiger, crab-eating macaque, Sumatran rhinoceros, Malayan gaur (seladang) and Asian elephant. As well as birds such as the great argus, red junglefowl, and the rare Malayan peacock-pheasant are still found here in some numbers. Tahan River has been preserved to protect the Malaysian mahseer (ikan kelah in Malay), a type of game fish.

Others attractions found near Kuala Tahan (Park headquarters for Pahang) include a canopy walkway, Gua Telinga (cave system), Lata Berkoh (rapid). Visitors can enjoy the tropical rainforest, birdwatching or jungle trekking (e.g. Tenor Rentis) and the river views along the Tahan River.

All visitors to the park must get permits from the Department of Wildlife and National Parks.
