Today, Barbados bids farewell to one of its greatest sons.

Sir Garfield Sobers was more than a cricket legend—he was a National Hero whose talent, humility, and dedication placed Barbados on the world stage. His remarkable life reminds us that greatness is measured not only by achievement, but by the legacy left behind.

As we honor his life during today's funeral service, may we continue to celebrate the values he embodied and the pride he brought to our nation.

Rest peacefully, Sir Garry. Your legacy lives on.
