We are celebrating fathers today!

Some of the fathers on our team are smiling a little brighter today thanks to the Human Resources (HR) Department.

The HR team pulled off another great moment when dads got the chance to pull for prizes in a special father’s day raffle.

25 countries are taking part in the 14th Regular Meeting of the CIP.

Delegates have been busily taking part in discussions looking closely at the future of Port operations as technology continues to advance.

What an exciting time!!!!

The 2026 Maritime Award of the Americas were presented here in Barbados last evening during the 14th Regular Meeting of the CIP.

We were among the winners. Barbados Port Inc. was named best in class for Digital Transformation.

Barbados Port Inc. was recognized for adopting digital technologies via its National Port Community System (PCS) to improve operational efficiency, transparency, sustainability, and competitiveness. The Award is the latest recognition for the Port Community System.

Other winners were: Port of São Francisco do Sul – Brazil for Green Port Initiatives, National Port Commission – Guatemala for Port Security and Risk Management and Ms. Michelle Scipio-Hosang was named Outstanding Woman in the Maritime and Port Sectors. She is the Vice President of Port & Estate Management at National Energy in Trinidad and Tobago.

We are proud to host the 14th Regular Meeting of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (CIP).

Over the next three days, representatives from 21 countries will exchange a number of topics under the theme, 'The Scope of Artificial Intelligence: Reshaping Strategies for Sustainable and Secure Ports'.

The arrival of the two electric Gantry cranes destined for Berth 6, on the morning of Saturday March 22, 2025 created quite a stir.

Yesterday, we celebrated the official opening of Berth 6!

Prime Minister the Hon. Mia .A. Mottley led the official party during the ribbon cutting ceremony.

This $213.5 Million berth, signals our commitment to bring to life a bold and ambitious vision for the future of international trade, logistics and cruise tourism in Barbados.
