Reversing is only one piece of the puzzle.

This Saturday’s Gatton clinic is about helping you understand your whole setup. We cover towing mirrors, chains, tyre pressures, touch points, road positioning, electric brakes and travelling safely with trucks, along with the reversing skills that make life easier when you arrive at your destination.

You don’t have to be good at it. You just have to be willing to learn.

My job is to give you the skills, the confidence and the foundation to put your trailer where you want it.

Maybe it was:

• “I’ll never be able to do this.”

• “I’m not confident enough.”

This is a practical, behind-the-wheel day designed to take you from second-guessing… to being in control.

We don’t just show you what to do — we teach you how to stay calm and in control while you’re doing it.
Because once you know what the trailer is doing, you’re no longer guessing.

What you’ll walk away with:
• Knowing exactly what your trailer is doing
• A step-by-step system you can rely on (no guesswork)
• The ability to fix mistakes without panic
• More control, less overthinking
• Confidence to actually back your setup where you want it

What we cover on the day:
• Reversing step-by-step
• Touch points
• Road positioning
• Tyres, safety chains & setup
• Electric brake use

Before you arrive:
You’ll get access to the online training videos so you can familiarise yourself with the fundamentals in your own time.

That way, when you arrive, you’re not overwhelmed — you can settle in, understand what’s happening, and build confidence at your own pace.

This is what Girls Who Tow is all about. 💜

Yesterday Sue came to me already confident towing forward… but reversing was the part holding her back.

One thing she said really hit home for me.
If she knew she had to reverse into a caravan park later that afternoon, she would spend the entire day thinking about it. Stressing about it. Focusing on it instead of actually enjoying the journey.

And honestly? So many women — myself included — relate to that feeling.

Because it’s not just about reversing a trailer.
It’s about the mental load that comes with not feeling confident in your own ability.

The beautiful part is this:
Reversing is a skill. A learnable skill.

By the end of the lesson, Sue was already understanding the why behind what the trailer was doing, learning her touch points, making forward corrects and building confidence step by step.

No pressure.
No judgement.
No being made to feel silly.

Just learning in a calm environment where there is no right or wrong — only practice and progress.

And that’s the real goal.
Not perfection.
Freedom.
