🚨 Community Update 🚨

We’d like to let our community know that a planned emergency exercise will be taking place at Burnie Airport on Monday 20 April.
You may see emergency vehicles, and emergency personnel in and around the airport during this time. Please rest assured this is just a training exercise, and there is absolutely no danger to the public.
These exercises help emergency services and airport staff stay prepared and keep everyone safe. Thanks for your understanding and support.

Throwback to February 1987! This vintage photo captures some iconic scenes: an Ansett aircraft on the apron, a fire truck at the old fire station, two terminals with the car park nestled between them (which is now the departure seating area), the train station, and in the bottom left, the old runway, a quick glimpse into the history of the airport!

We’re thrilled to welcome the new Plane View Café to our terminal. They’ve been serving up great coffee since mid-May, and it’s been fantastic to see so many of you coming through!
