We craned the mast up today on the 40 foot steal cruiser Townsville Slipways Pty Ltd . The new rigging is in place and tuned ready to go. Now back down to Airlie Beach and Mackay with a quick job in Bowen on the way through.

Back in Townsville for a bit! Just wrapped up a re-rig on a Hitchhiker Cat, and a 40ft steely gets its refurbished rig craned on Thursday. Then it's off to the Whitsundays to finish up the season's last few jobs.
It's getting pretty warm here already!

Our last charter yacht annual rig survey completed 3 days ago. The 21 meter traditional sailing vessel New Horizon in ship shape condition as has been each year since we started her annual surveys back in 2018.

Measure up of a Leopard 48 here in Mackay today. Back to pull the mast out and fit new rigging in two weeks time, after another Townsville stint via Airlie Beach and Bowen.

An Arends 33 in Bowen Qld near completion today. Sadly we ( I ) made an error in writing the backstays length down last week and we made them both exactly 1m too short. 😢😥
So we'll be back again to fit the remakes in a fortnight's time.
This one also has the ever reliable Reefurl furler fitted.

Re-rigging a Hitchhiker 33ft catamaran in Townsville last week. Two new forestays inside the 40yr "Reefurl" headsail furlers. The furlers are still in near perfect condition with just a couple of nylon washer style bearings needed replacing.
Rogin Taylor of Reefurl Furling Systems based in the Whitsundays promptly send the new bearings to us overnight, completely FREE OF CHARGE. Bloody fantastic service after over 40yrs of use!
And bloody fantastic furlers to still be completely serviceable after 40+ years.
