I dropped by the hangar today to pick up some small parts to work on at home, and to see how the wing, rudder and nose bowl had cured now that we had very little fog today and … it’s cured super nice!

Well unfortunately as we had a log of fog and moisture in the air all night and
Most of today, the paint only cured ‘approximately’ 70% so I couldn’t flip and paint the other surfaces and the forecast won’t improve much so I feel I won’t be doing any more big jobs this weekend. That gave me the excuse to stop by the aeroclub and enjoy the monthly lunch! Alas, there is always jobs to do so I took my wheels home as I needed to pack the bearing with grease….one small job completed and one small step closer

Of the day complete and I’m waiting for that paint to dry so I can lay down the final gloss coats. Unfortunately due to the weather, it’s moving a lot slower today

Well it was disappointing that the weather last weekend wasn’t conducive for painting the gloss coats and now I have 3 days free
To paint , and the weather will also be at the maximum of borderline. I won’t know if I’ll be painting this weekend, but I can only hope that humidity drops down to 70%. If it doesn’t, water can trap in the paint and cause it to either dry in a matt finish or cause some bubbles everywhere…In the meantime, I’m sitting in my heated home - glueing vortex generators onto the undersides of my horizontal stabilisers
