💛 R U OK? DAY — A CONVERSATION CAN CHANGE A LIFE 💛

We spend so much of our time working alongside each other — driving buses, helping passengers, dealing with busy days, early mornings, late nights and everything in between.

But sometimes, behind the smile and the simple “I’m good”, someone might be struggling more than we realise.

Today is a reminder to actually ask.

Not just “How are you?” while walking past, but:

“Are you really okay?”

Take the time to listen. Check in on your workmate. Call your mate. Ask a family member how they’re really going.

You don’t need to fix their problems or have the perfect words. Sometimes just knowing that someone cares, is listening and is there can make all the difference. 💛

And most importantly — don’t wait for R U OK? Day to check in.

A conversation today, tomorrow or any day could be the one someone really needs.

A big THANK YOU to all our amazing Busabout drivers! 👏

Every morning you’re up before the sun, getting our passengers where they need to go — safely, patiently and with a friendly smile. ☀️

Whether it’s school runs, town services, busy afternoons or those “I’m sure the bus was meant to be here…” moments 😂 — you’re out there making it happen!

We appreciate the time, patience, professionalism and care you put into your job every single day. 🚌👏

And let’s be honest… driving a bus comes with its moments! 😂 From the early starts, the school run chaos, the “can you just squeeze one more person on?” requests, to answering the same question for the 47th time that day — you handle it all!

So today, we’re giving a huge shout-out to the people behind the wheel.

Thank you, drivers — we couldn’t do it without you! 💚💛

AND ON THAT NOTE… HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND! 🌻

It’s the first weekend of spring, and there are some VERY happy people in the Busabout office who are more than ready for warmer weather! ☀️😎

🚧 SERVICE UPDATE – SHAW STREET ROAD CLOSURE 🚌

Just a heads-up for anyone travelling on Route 966!

Shaw St will be closed from Monday 31 August to Saturday 5 September, between 6pm and 6am.

🚌 Route 966 will divert via:
Gurwood St → Gossett St → Albury St → Docker St

📅 The diversion will only affect Thursday & Friday evening services.

Please allow a little extra time for your journey and keep an eye out for any changes while the works are underway.

The plan includes some important projects and ideas, including increasing the capacity of Gobba Bridge and improving passenger train services across the region.

😂 “HAPPY MONDAY!” — SAID NO ONE EVER… 😂

Well… the weekend was fun while it lasted. 😭

The alarm has gone off, school bags are packed, shoes have hopefully been found, and it’s time to do it all again! 🎒⏰

So, because Monday clearly needs some HOUSE RULES, here’s how we’re going to survive the week on our school buses: 👇

☕ Rule #1: Coffee first (for mums and dads only). Questions later. 😂
🚌 Rule #2: Be ready for the bus and wave to your driver! 👋
🤝 Rule #3: Be kind, respectful and use your manners.
🔊 Rule #4: Keep the bus noise at a reasonable level.
🪑 Rule #5: Stay seated and keep everyone safe.
❤️ Rule #6: Look after your mates.
📋 Rule #7: Listen to your driver and follow the Student Code of Conduct.
🚫 Rule #8: No bullying, pushing, fighting or carrying on like you’ve just won the Grand Final. 😂
🎒 Rule #9: Keep your bags with you and keep the aisles clear.
😎 Rule #10: Survive Monday… then countdown to Friday! 🎉
