Without Simon, there’d be no Simon Built.

The bloke behind the name, the ideas, the problem-solving and the “surely there’s a better way to do this” thinking. 😂

His outside-the-box ideas, determination and willingness to have a crack at just about anything are a huge part of what makes Simon Built what it is.

Here’s to another year of big ideas, bigger projects and plenty of beers along the way. 🍻

The post we really didn’t want to make… 😂

We’ve been putting it off. We’ve been absorbing increases where we can. We’ve sharpened the pencil, squeezed the numbers and generally hoped everything would magically get cheaper again. 😂

Unfortunately… that plan hasn’t worked. 🤣

The cost of running a small business has continued to climb, and as much as we hate putting our prices up, we’ve reached the point where if we don’t, we’re basically working for the privilege of owning a workshop. 😂

So, reluctantly, our prices are getting a bit of a bump.

We’re still doing everything we can to keep things fair and competitive, because we genuinely value our customers and the support you give our little family business.

We just need to make sure Simon Built remains a viable business — otherwise Simon might have to get a real job, and frankly, nobody wants that. 🤣

Thanks to everyone who continues to support us, recommend us, send work our way and puts up with our questionable sense of humour.

We appreciate the absolute crap out of you. ❤️

Mack truck restoration week continues here at Simon Built! 🚛🔧

It’s been a fun week of colour matching white — apparently there are 3 different shades of Mack truck white to choose from for this particular model year! 🤦‍♂️😂

Simon has also been rediscovering his fibreglassing skills, which haven’t had a workout in 20+ years.

He can confirm one thing hasn’t changed… the dust is still itchy as s**t! 🤣

Our mini boss has already overtaken Mum in height, and standing on this step is probably a pretty good preview of where he'll end up once he's fully grown.

I'm just hoping by then he's mastered two important life skills: welding... and wearing deodorant before casually resting his arm on Mum's head. 😬😂
