We have just undertaking an in-house machine job to resolve a persistent problem. The customer was achieving a lifespan of only one month from the bearing and housing assembly, primarily due to concrete infiltration into the bearing. Our proposed solution involves trialing a split LFX bearing replacement, fabricated from our 6PLA oil-filled nylon. The benefits of this design include the elimination of rolling parts, inherent lubrication properties, and a diminished impact from contamination. Having applied this solution to grain auger centre bearings with success, we will continue to monitor its progress and provide updates.
