This is becoming a bit of a tradition . . . and we LOVE it! ❤️✈️

Our lovely clients sending us a photo from the airport as they say farewell and head off on their next big adventure.

And just look at this gorgeous couple, Italy-bound and ready to celebrate some very special birthdays ending in a zero! 🇮🇹🥂 Because milestone birthdays deserve something a little more memorable than cake and candles.

And what a trip they have ahead of them . . .

🇮🇹 A little time soaking up Rome
🥾🚲 Hiking and cycling village to village through Tuscany
🍷 Slowing things right down beside Lake Como
🎉 Then on to Sicily, where they’ll meet up with a fabulous bunch of friends to celebrate those big birthdays properly.

And to add the icing to the cake (excuse the pun ), they’re also taking a little piece of home with them, proudly promoting a fantastic brewery from little old Goondiwindi as they travel around the world. 🍺🌏

That, to me, sounds pretty close to perfection. ❤️

Buon viaggio, you two! Have the most wonderful time — and happy VERY special birthdays! 🥂🇮🇹

Still delightfully old school with a trusty Lonely Planet guide . . . but keeping themselves young with champagne before morning tea. 🥂

We’ve rolled the final kilometres, packed away the bikes, and wrapped up another incredible journey, through the Baltics. 🇱🇹🚴🇱🇻🚴🇪🇪

Our adventure finished in Tallinn, and I’m going to make a big call . . .

Tallinn might just be my favourite city in Europe (that I’ve been to).

Now, I know that’s a bold statement. And yes, I may be slightly influenced by the fact it’s the last city I’ve visited. Whenever people ask me my favourite trip, it’s usually the most recent one because it’s freshest in my mind.

But even allowing for that, Tallinn is every bit as wonderful as I remembered from my visit last year.

It has everything I look for in a city. A beautifully preserved medieval Old Town, fascinating history around every corner, cosy cafés where you can happily lose an afternoon, Michelin-starred restaurants if you’re feeling fancy, and accommodation to suit every budget, from backpacker hostels to luxurious five-star hotels.

It’s colourful, creative and full of character, with just the right balance between old-world charm and a vibrant modern culture.

Perhaps the biggest surprise is that, despite all it has to offer, it still feels refreshingly free from the crowds that have overtaken so many of Europe’s famous cities. You can wander its cobbled streets, climb its ancient walls, linger over a coffee, and simply enjoy being there without feeling like you’re part of a tourist conveyor belt.

If you’re planning a European adventure and Tallinn (or even Riga) isn’t on your list, I’d seriously consider changing that.

Thanks for following along as we cycled our way through Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. It’s been a journey full of history, stories, laughter, a slight mechanical hiccups, a few falls 🙄, plenty of kilometres, and memories that will stay with us for a long time.
