Our final days in Longreach and Winton were some of the highlights of our trip.

We visited the Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum of Natural History in Winton, and what an amazing experience it was! Seeing the dinosaur bones and footprints up close was fascinating, and our guide shared so much interesting insider knowledge.

We also enjoyed a visit to the Waltzing Matilda Centre, which gave us a wonderful insight into Australia's history and culture.

The next day, we toured the Qantas Founders Museum. Our guide, Mark, was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us so much about aviation and the history of Qantas. We then visited the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame, where the Outback tour and museum experience were outstanding.

In the evening, we enjoyed dinner and entertainment at Smithy's. What a fantastic show and a great night!

On our final day, we treated ourselves to a meal at an Italian restaurant in Longreach, and the food was amazing.

Sadly, our tour has come to an end. Our flight departed on time, and we are now on our way back to Toowoomba.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this trip such a success. We have made wonderful memories and enjoyed every moment of this incredible adventure. πŸ˜ŠβœˆοΈπŸ¦•πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί

🌟 Our Longreach Adventure 🌟

We started our adventure to Longreach by making our way to Brisbane and then flying out to Longreach.

On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Kelly and Brad from Outback Pioneers. We checked into The Stables, which gives you the unique feeling of staying in a stable while enjoying rustic-modern comfort.
That evening, we enjoyed a lovely dinner at Welcome Home.

The next day, we experienced the famous Cobb & Co Stagecoach Experienceβ€”what a fantastic experience! We sampled delicious home-baked scones, watched an old classic film, and then enjoyed a billy-can lunch.
Afterwards, we had some time to explore Longreach before heading out in the late afternoon for a cruise along the Thomson River. The day ended with dinner around the campfire beneath the beautiful outback sky.

On Day 3, we visited Nogo Station, owned by the Kinnon family. What an amazing experience! We saw a variety of animals, including sheep, goats, camels, emus, and, of course, cattle and horses 🐎.
We enjoyed a lovely lunch around the campfire, taking in the peaceful outback surroundings. Lane shared many fascinating stories and taught us so much more about the farm, its history, and what life is really like on a working station. It was a wonderful experience and rounded off a truly great day.

So far, our Longreach adventure has been filled with unforgettable experiences, wonderful people, great food, and a real taste of outback life. We can't wait to see what the next few days bring! 🀠πŸͺπŸ‘πŸŽπŸŒ…

πŸŒžπŸ›³οΈ Day Trip to Caloundra πŸ›³οΈπŸŒž

Early this morning, we departed Toowoomba for Caloundra. It was a little fresh to start with, but the sunshine soon made it a beautiful day. Our first stop was Esk for morning tea, where we enjoyed relaxing in the warm morning sun.

We arrived at Pelican Waters mid-morning for our cruise. Ken welcomed us aboard and shared lots of interesting information throughout the journey. The weather was absolutely perfect, making the cruise even more enjoyable.

After the cruise, we headed to Pelican Waters Tavern for lunch. We enjoyed delicious fish and chips, which went down very well!

Sadly, it’s now time to head back to Toowoomba after a wonderful day out. A big thank you to everyone involved in organising such a fantastic trip. Great company, beautiful weather, and wonderful memories made. πŸ˜Šβ˜€οΈπŸ›³οΈ

On Thursday, we made our way to QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute in Brisbane. It is always a wonderful experience to speak with the scientists and hear the passion they have for their work. Our group was divided into two groups: one group went to learn about mosquitoes, while the other explored research about the brain.

Thank you to all the staff who welcomed us to the Institute and made our visit so enjoyable.

Afterwards, we went for lunch at Breakfast Creek Hotel. The meals were delicious, and the weather was great as we made our way to Mount Coot-tha Lookout. The view was amazing.

A very lovely day tour came to an end and thank you to everyone who helped make the day so memorable.
