Multihull Marine originally started its life as a boatyard run by Hedley Nichol in the early 1960's then renamed "Roberts Boats" back in the late 1960's. Bought by the Arber-Raven Family back in 1995 and changed to what is now known as Multihull Marine. Since the change
of ownership, many improvements have been made to the yard, but the old school feel of how a boatyard should be still remains. So many have now shared their own love of their time with us here whilst working on their own boat building projects. The friday night BBQ's are legendary as the saltwater stories are shared between good friends and old salts alike. If you're in the area come and join us! Shawn is renowned within the boating industry for his expertise in custom designed and built multihulls, both sailing and motor yachts. Shawn's love of boating started at an early age of 8, building his first boats out of corrugated iron and stealing his grandmothers lawn mower to power his first craft down Norman Creek and into the Brisbane River. A saltwater cowboy at heart some would say. Spanning a career of many decades in successful designs and boats constructed for many happy customers, he is somewhat of a Marine MD as his nickname of "Doc" warmly reflects. Shawn and Yolanda are now getting ready to step back and enjoy their retirement traveling in the motorhome and enjoying the odd day on the bay, leaving the day to day running of the family boatyard to son, Damian Arber to manage with brothers Marcus and Myles.
