DG Air Adelaide has recently been managing some large repack jobs of haircare products bound for New Zealand. Ordinarily, these products would undertake a journey via sea freight. However, due to an unexpected setback – fire damage to the customer's facilities in NZ – they needed to be sent via air. 🔥📦

Harnessing the consumer commodity classification outlined by IATA, we expedited the shipment process, enabling certain materials intended for personal care or household use to be swiftly transported via air in consumer commodities. The goods that could not go as consumer commodity were repacked into our UN approved boxes. 💨📦

Our team arranged the repacking and labelling of two consignments, each comprising of five pallets, swiftly dispatched via Singapore Airlines to Auckland. This strategic move guarantees the timely fulfilment of our customer's urgent requirements, seamlessly overcoming the disruption caused by the fire incident.

Starting January 1,2024 the 2022 Edition of the IMDG code will official supersede the 2020 Edition. This transition is essential to ensure compliance with the latest industry regulations and to enhance the safety and efficiency of Dangerous Goods transportation.
