So, I finally made it to Bangkok. A lot of my vids are fairly rough edit as I was mainly collecting footage for later editing as well as doing research for a rail journey. It was such an amazing trip and the rail journey was such a comfortable way to move through South East Asia. So, due to the length of the trip I realised I couldn't do the tour justice to travel from Bali to Bangkok in one trip so I've decided to do a Part A, Bali to Jakarta and Part B, Jakarta to Bangkok version. I'll edit up the footage and create a Part A tour version.

Yeah Bali! Arrived with a cold (hopefully that's all) after sitting next to a man on the Malaysian train coughing and wheezing most of the way. Message to self, if that happens again, move, even if I have to stand. Anyway, there are worse places to recuperate!

It's a good thing we bailed ! 240 minute delay!! We were back in KL before the others even got on the buses

Well all was going well when about 1 hour south of Ipoh the train came to a halt then after about 20 minutes started going backwards at about 20 kph. Now that's never a good sign. After about half an hour it came to stop at a regional train station and was told a large tree had come down and taken the electrical cables down. No problem, we have organised bus we are told but stay on the train. Hum, a few of us did a few calculations and realised this would take hours to get buses out from KL then a scramble on the buses as they arrive so a few of us coopted a local driver and am now on my way via road.
