Ruby Travels Worldwide visited Kyoto for 2 days. It was a beautiful sunny day yesterday to do this trip. Fushimi Inari Shrine (伏見稲荷大社, Fushimi Inari Taisha) is an important Shinto shrine in southern Kyoto. It is famous for its thousands of vermilion torii gates, which straddle a network of trails behind its main buildings. The trails lead into the wooded forest of the sacred Mount Inari, which stands at 233 meters and belongs to the shrine grounds.

We also visited the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. Arashiyama Bamboo Forest is the name given to a whole area in the western part of Kyoto where you can spend at least half a day. The bamboo grove is open to visitors 24 hours and free.

Another day in beautiful Japan. We stayed in Osaka for 3 days. We shopped, we went and saw the evening magic over Osaka from Umeda sky. We also visited Dotonbori: A famous nightlife and dining district with iconic neon signs.

Osaka City is the capital of Osaka Prefecture, with a population of approximately 2.72 million. It serves as a major financial hub and is divided into two primary areas: Kita (North/Umeda) and Minami (South/Namba).

Our second trip to Japan since 2024 and this time it's with our granddaughters Ruby & Evie. Our Day 1 was exploring the Shinjuku Goyen Gardens to see the Cherry Blossoms.

In the evening we bought Tickets to Tokyo Skytree which was absolutely spectacular. Rising high above the urban bustle, TOKYO SKYTREE is an essential sightseeing spot in Tokyo, and the tallest freestanding broadcasting tower in the world.

Tokyo Skytree is famous for being the world's tallest tower (634m) with incredible city views from its observation decks, its role as a broadcasting tower, and its distinct Japanese design, all while serving as a modern landmark for Tokyo with shopping and dining at its base. Its height offers breathtaking panoramic views of Tokyo and even Mt. Fuji on clear days, with nighttime illumination adding to its iconic status.
