Turkish Airlines (TK) - Sydney Flight Re-Routing

Effective from 26 Oct 2026, Turkish Airlines (TK) Sydney flights (TK174-TK175) will no longer operate via KUL. Instead, traffic rights have been reallocated to operate via SINGAPORE

Turkish airlines have full 5th Freedom Traffic Rights for Singapore, meaning passengers will now be able to both embark and disembark in Singapore.

Important Note: The flight number will be changing - TK174 and TK175 will be operated as TK22 and TK23 as of 26 October 2026.

For all customers that are travelling on or after 26 October and are currently holding tickets with flight numbers TK174 & TK175. These tickets are no longer valid and need re-issuing. I am happy to inform that, yesterday our office has reissued and emailed all our customers their new tickets, some of whom are overseas but with the assistance of our offices in Macedonia, ie Ohrid, Bitola and Resen, our contacts are working at advising them and providing them with their replacement tickets.

Important Travel Update – Turkish Airlines Baggage Allowance

If you’re travelling with Turkish Airlines, please take note of these recent changes to checked baggage allowances:

just to clarify this only applies to new tickets purchased from July 2026 and it does not apply to tickets that were issued prior to July 2026.

✈️ For most passengers:
• Checked baggage is now limited to 1 piece up to 23kg.
• This has been reduced from the previous 30kg allowance.
• Carry-on baggage remains unchanged at 7kg.

🇲🇰 Travelling from Macedonia?
Passengers commencing their journey in Macedonia now have a checked baggage allowance of 20kg, reduced from the previous 30kg.

Please ensure your luggage meets these updated limits before travelling to avoid excess baggage fees and delays at the airport.

We would like to inform you that since 12 October 2025, the Entry/Exit System (EES) has been implemented at European border crossing points.
The Entry/Exit System (EES) applies when both arriving into and departing from the Schengen Area. The EES is an automated system designed to register third-country nationals traveling for short stays (maximum 90 days within any 180-day period). Upon crossing the border, travellers are required to:
Present their travel document
Complete a one-time biometric registration (including four fingerprints and a facial image)
Please note that EU nationals, EU residents, and EU long-stay visa holders are exempted from the registration in this system.
The registration process may take additional time at passport control. We strongly recommend arriving at the airport well in advance to ensure sufficient time for check-in—particularly for non‑EU passport holders departing to the EU, who, in addition to security screening and border control procedures, are required to complete mandatory airport check-in. Please be aware that these procedures may also be applicable at arrival, so passengers are advised to plan their post trip plans accordingly

📦 IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR SENDING PARCELS TO MACEDONIA 📦
At Braga, we have been "bringing family and friends closer" since 1997. For nearly 30 years, you have trusted us to deliver your freight with the same care Gina started with, and we want to ensure you are informed of recent changes in the homeland.
New Customs Regulations: As of 17 December 2025, Macedonian Customs have introduced new regulations for all imported parcels.
VAT and Import Documentation Fees now apply to EVERY parcel entering Macedonia (regardless of size).
This includes parcels with a declared value under EUR 45.
Recipients are now required to pay these charges before their parcel can be released by customs.
Please note that these fees are imposed directly by the Macedonian authorities and are outside of our control. We recommend all our customers take this into account when planning their next shipment.
The Braga Solution: We are currently working closely with Macedonian authorities to enable a pre-payment option here in Australia, so you can cover these costs upfront.
Until a formal arrangement is finalized, we suggest a simple way to help your loved ones: Use our International Money Transfer service. By sending a small transfer alongside your freight, you can ensure your family in Macedonia has the funds ready to cover these new fees, so their parcel is released without delay.
Others may try to copy our services, but our long-term expertise and dedication to the Macedonian Australian community remain unmatched.
