To date I have always kept my personal life, and travelling life totally separate.

But in situations like this, we need as much help as we can get.

My life revolves around Travel... and my 3 fur kids, one of those furs kids is critically unwell.

Normally at this time of the year I would have several trips planned and booked, currently there is just the 1 trip, and it may end up being cancelled.

We know full well everyone is struggling, so if you cannot help financially, even a share would be truly appreciated.

This was something we wanted to avoid, but a very kind person offered to set something up and help, for which we are truly appreciated.

After several awesome days at the Burger Lovers Festival it was time to head North.

The headline act, Savurafla Kotisaari

BBQ on an island in Rovaniemi.

As usual, the food was amazing, as were all the Lapland Safaris crew.

Day 2 of the Burger Lovers Festival wrapped up with something a little different.

A Fish Burger by Fisuburger and a sweet sweet Donut from Makea unelma

Panko Mango Burger:

Siiskonen Rye Brioche Bun, Crispy Panko Breaded Pike Perch Steak, Mango Chutney, Feta Salad, Smoked Mayonnaise and Salakuljettajan Fisu Sauce.

Kinuski Donut:

Filled with Caramel flavoured Unicorns of Awesomeness…

To start off Day 2 at the Burger Lovers Festival it was time to taste a Burger from one of the most awarded Burger Restaurants in Finland, Grill Room Hankasalmi.

Best Burger Restaurant in Finland 2024 & 2025, Runner Up 2026.

The Classic Burger:

Mummin Pullapuodin Brioche Bun, Two Smash Steaks, Cheddar Cheese, Red Onion, Pickled Cucumber, Dried Onion Flakes, Paprika Mayonnaise & Smuggler™ Burger & Wings chili sauce.

Absolutely delicious…

Too much Salmon… I think not!

Salmon Omelette, Smoked Salmon & Salt Cured Salmon (& some greenery for good measure).

I stand firm on the fact that the breakfast at Lapland Hotels Bulevardi - Kultá Kitchen & Bar is the best in Helsinki.
