Another successful project cargo movement is making its way across the globe.
What began in Calgary as the transportation of two GasJack Gas Chamber medium-pressure compressor units, complete with various accessories and fittings, is now en route to Jakarta, Indonesia.
Each unit measured 11 ft 11 in long, 6 ft 5 in wide, and 8 ft 10 in high, weighing 3,700 kg. Following flatbed collection in Calgary, the compressors were transported to Vancouver, where they were expertly transloaded, blocked, braced, and securely loaded onto a 40ft flat rack for their ocean journey. Although the cargo exceeded the standard height by 74 cm, it remained within gauge on both sides.
Every stage of the shipment from inland transportation and transloading to cargo securing and export coordination required detailed planning and precise ex*****on to ensure the oversized cargo moved safely, compliantly, and on schedule.
