Meet Tenzing "Tenz" Bugg, one of our talented Installers at Specific in Melbourne! Tenz has 5 years in the industry & he brings a sharp eye for detail, strong knowledge on the tools & a natural ability to problem-solve and adapt on site. He keeps clients confident by communicating clearly, showing up reliably & always delivering work to a high standard.

Off the back of standout projects like Mercure Latrobe Street and the Thomas Embling Hospital Project, Tenz is someone who takes real pride in the work he does. He stays organised by planning ahead and making sure he's fully prepared before hitting site each day. When he's not on the tools, you'll find him working on his cars, building computers or catching a live gig.

Flashback Friday: 1,700 pallets. One seamless weekend relocation.

For this , we’re looking back at a live warehouse relocation where meticulous planning, complete inventory control and a team that could deliver under pressure made all the difference.

Our team completed the relocation of approximately 1,700 pallets of warehouse stock and individual products across three days over a single weekend, while the client continued trading.

Every item was identified and scanned, carefully packed and protected, transported, and positioned in its new location. This meant the client retained visibility of exactly what product was where throughout the move.

The project also included relocating a 50-person office and storeroom, with all IT equipment disconnected, moved and reconnected to help get the team operating again as quickly as possible.

The outcome: a highly coordinated relocation with minimal disruption to day-to-day operations and a smooth return to business.

Reflecting on a standout few days at AHICE in Christchurch!

A real privilege to join 600+ hospitality industry leaders from across Australia & New Zealand. This was an event filled with thought-provoking conversations, big ideas, fresh perspectives and valuable connections. A clear sense on what’s next for hospitality.

As a group, we’re incredibly grateful to hear industry leaders speak about the scale & impact of the major projects that we’re fortunate to be part of. It was a great opportunity to reflect on what we’re achieving together, hear new perspectives, make valuable connections and come away inspired for what’s ahead!

Josh has been with Specific Group for six years now, building up a huge amount of experience across furniture placement, logistics, and project delivery. He knows exactly what it takes to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to the high standard our clients expect.

His practical approach and attention to detail make him a super dependable part of the crew. But for Josh, it's not just about getting the job done - it's about teamwork, communication, and representing the Specific Group brand the right way every time he steps on site.

Fresh off the AHICE Sydney conference last week at The Hilton, and we are already counting down the days until AHICE Aotearoa kicks off next week!
The true test of a great conference is when you know you can turn up time and time again - and that is exactly what AHICE is. The quality of the speakers, the people in the room, and the conversations happening at the highest levels of the industry keep us coming back year after year.
The hotel industry is a massive part of the Australian and New Zealand economy, and seeing it hold strong through these tough times - still delivering incredible results - is something we are genuinely proud of. One of the most rewarding things about attending AHICE over the years is watching a development being discussed one year, and then the next year seeing the photos of what has actually been built and achieved showcased on that stage. That progression is something special.

Meet Abraham "Abz" Lomax-Jackson, Site Supervisor at Specific in Melbourne! With over 10 years in the construction industry Abe brings a wealth of experience in leading teams on site. His approach is straightforward: comms is key. Whether he's coordinating crews or keeping clients in the loop, clear communication is at the heart of everything he does.
Abe stays one step ahead by thinking through the following day's work before it begins - making sure nothing catches him off guard on site.
He's particularly proud of his work across the Quest Serviced Apartments Portfolio, spanning both metro and regional projects.
What he values most about Specific? The culture the team has built together. Outside of work, Abe keeps himself busy with Hyrox, golf and playing rugby league.
