🚴‍♂️ Saddle up, it’s Taupō time!

Got a bike? Know someone with a bike? Thought about riding a bike once?

Qube Ports NZ, Qube Forestry NZ and Qube Logistics NZ are joining forces for one epic wellbeing challenge: the Lake Taupō Cycle Challenge on 28 November 2026.

Before you scroll past thinking, "Yeah, but I'm not a cyclist..." neither are plenty of people who end up signing up! This is about giving it a crack, having some laughs and getting amongst it with your fellow Qubies.

Over the next few months, the team will be rolling out monthly Strava challenges to help everyone get moving. Think:

🚴 Short, achievable rides
🎁 Spot prizes and giveaways
😏 Friendly site rivalry
☕ Plenty of coffee stops (highly encouraged)

And when the big day arrives, the Qube Riders Hub will be there to refuel, recharge and celebrate making it around the course... or at least surviving the hills. 😉

One conversation can make all the difference.

As we approach R U OK? Day on 10 September, Joel is sharing an important reminder: checking in with others starts with being willing to have an honest conversation.

"Males aren't the best with vulnerability. Let's be honest," Joel says.

By sharing his own experiences and encouraging people to speak openly, Joel has helped create a workplace culture where team members know it's okay to ask for help and support one another through life's challenges.

TK66 was turning heads at the Yarrabee Golf Day, proudly on display at Hole 1, sponsored by Qube.

Hosted by Yarrabee Mine at Blackwater Golf Club, the charity event brought together 51 teams of three and raised an incredible $27,500 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. 💙

Captured on Tuesday, August 25, Qube Holdings 3112 is seen departing Goulburn station after being held for a red signal. Locomotive QL020 in indigenous livery was leading with QL008. Does anybody know where it originates? Bomen? I've probably asked before but cannot remember!

Qube is a proud partner of The Pinnacle Foundation, sponsoring the Qube Scholarship to help LGBTQIA+ young people achieve their education and career goals through financial support, mentoring and community connections.

Yesterday (27 August), our Clarence Street, Sydney team welcomed Penelope, a Pinnacle Scholar and fourth-year engineering student to celebrate Wear It Purple Day.

Penelope shared that Wear It Purple Day is an opportunity for organisations to reflect on how they're creating inclusive environments where everyone feels valued, supported and able to be themselves.

Her advice for aspiring allies?
