Great news for points collectors and travel lovers! Qantas has partnered with Philippine Airlines to open up access to 15 new island destinations across the Philippines.

This means Qantas Frequent Flyer members can now redeem and earn points on even more routes, making it easier to explore some of the most beautiful tropical spots in Southeast Asia. With the Philippines being home to over 7,000 islands, this partnership significantly expands travel options beyond Manila, giving better connectivity to popular leisure destinations.

Coming to the number of points required, an economy reward seat between Sydney and Manila will cost 34,700 Qantas points, a premium economy reward will cost 70,800 points, and a business reward seat will cost 90,000 Qantas points, plus taxes and carrier charges.

As of now, I can see up to five reward seats available in premium economy across multiple days. So if you are planning a trip, it might be a good idea to grab these seats quickly before they are gone.

More destinations, more reward seats, and more ways to use your points effectively.

Definitely a win for frequent flyers!

Typically, you cannot transfer Amex Membership Rewards points (outside of selected cards like Amex Platinum) directly to Qantas Frequent Flyer. However, with this offer, you can convert Amex Membership Rewards points earned from other cards as well to Qantas indirectly via Everyday Rewards.

With the additional 15% bonus, the value becomes even more interesting. Effectively, you are receiving 1,150 Qantas Points for every 2,500 AMEX points, compared to the standard 1,000 points.
