Wow! What an interesting first quarter for 2026. Fires, floods, inflation, war and fuel shortages have all contributed to a year with a degree of uncertainty for what the future will bring next.
However, rest assured that there's still some things that will never change, and one of those is how the team here at Proficient Packaging will always value you as a customer and strive to satisfy you with the best packaging and service we can possibly offer.
We'll be closed on the Good Friday and Easter Monday public holidays over the Easter weekend (April 3-6). We'd like to wish everyone a Happy Easter will return again on Tuesday. If you're heading away for the long weekend, please be sure to keep an eye on your fuel gauge to ensure you don't get caught out!

As 2025 draws to a close, we'd like to issue a reminder that we will be closed from Tuesday 23rd and not back again until Monday, January 12th. No orders will be processed during this time.

Orders have now closed for production in 2025 as we are currently in the process of shipping out the remaining orders. Please be aware that production is already scheduled for our return in January so orders placed from now will need to be added to the queue where it can be accommodated.

Due to the King's Birthday public holiday, we will be closed on Monday, June 9th.
It is certainly going to be a cold and wet weekend with heavy rainfalls are expected across Victoria with temps hovering around 10-15º over most of the state and 1º with possible snow in the high country. If you're heading away, please be sure to take care on the roads and keep warm.
So why do we celebrate the King's birthday on this weekend when King Charles III's real birthday is actually in November? It all dates back to 17th century when a military parade called "Trooping The Colour" was held for King Charles II. This became a tradition as it enabled the Brits to celebrate the King's (and Queen's for many decades) birthday at a time when they could enjoy the summer weather☀.

As proud sponsors of the 2025 Masters Swimming Australia National Championships held in Melbourne on April 8-12, we provided the bags that were presented to each of the participants of the event.
The white kraft bags were digitally printed in full colour with the Masters Swimming Australia logo on one side and the penguins on the other.

Wow, the year is going by so quickly with Easter already upon us. As it falls just before ANZAC Day this year, we have two shortened weeks in a row making for a very busy month so I'm sure we'll be making the most of the long weekends.

As we start gearing down for the year and begin looking forward to spending some down-time with our friends and families, the team at Proficient would like to thank all our customers, suppliers and associates for their continued business and dealings throughout 2024. We place great pride and value on the relationships we have built up with each of you and look forward to continuing this in 2025 and beyond!
We'll be taking a break with last orders going out on December 20th and returning to normal operations again on January 13th.

With Tuesday November 5th being a public holiday for the running of the Melbourne Cup, we'll be taking advantage of the occasion by also closing on Monday 4th to give the guys a well earned break.
Melbourne Cup also marks the start of the race to the Christmas break. As we're planning to close on December 20th and not return until January 13th. Although we'll be back on the 13th, we're asking all our customers to ensure they plan ahead now and place their orders to ensure they have stock to last them well into January.
