Celebrating 51 Years of Family Business, Resilience and Legacy

On 3 October 1975, brothers Leslie Cullen and Norm Johnson incorporated L.C. & N. Johnson Pty Ltd, laying the foundations for a family business built on hard work, integrity, resilience and strong values.

What began as a modest family enterprise grew over the decades through the dedication of Les, Norm, their wives Roselee and Pam, three brothers, and the many people who supported the journey.

In 2019, the next generation carried that entrepreneurial spirit forward. Rick Johnson and wife Lisa took ownership of Western Container Services and established ERS Johnson Pty Ltd, continuing the family tradition for future generations, including Emily, Ryan and Sophie.

Around the same time, Shayne Johnson established Western Tank Services Pty Ltd, building his own strong reputation in the bulk liquids and ISO tank services industry.

While these businesses operate independently, they share the same foundation of family values, determination and work ethic.

This milestone is also an opportunity to recognise Peter Rickett, who joined the family business in 1979 and retires this year after an extraordinary 47 years of service. His loyalty, knowledge, friendship and commitment have played an important part in the story.

From one incorporation certificate signed in 1975 came a legacy that now spans generations.

51 years later, the values remain unchanged:
