Today we were up in the hills not far from home. The roads leading up to the job got thinner and thinner the closer we got.
A few attempts at getting into the driveway, which sadly destroyed the rear lights on the trailer. Thanks to a white road post.
But we got in there and loaded, then off to the delivery address.
Sometimes an easy job can turn into a work out. Luckily the customer was more than happy to get in and help. Real credit to them.

Now to pack the truck ready for a trip over to the Eyre Peninsula.

Due to the huge increase of fuel prices, we will be adding a fuel surcharge to our jobs.
As we are only a small family run business we can’t absorb the increase.

Big day for us today.
The new truck was out on its first trip.
Picked up a new silo from T & R Engineering. This went to one of our wonderful repeat customers.
Also had the big boss Geoff come and pick up the silo trailer so I could tow home a drop deck for grape carting. This will be ready to go once I make some small modifications to it.
Huge thankyou to everyone that’s helped us get to this point.

A couple of big days in the truck. Two silos moved from the York peninsula to the states east.
Called in the big boss Geoff to help with the pilot work. For someone that’s semi retired he still works hard and doesn’t complain. Huge thankyou to dad for digging deep and working hard.

We battled against some heavy winds which slowed us down but we got it done.
The old Hino gave everything she had, for which could be its last silo shift.
Job well done.

The last couple months has been particularly crazy for us with Christmas thrown in the middle.
Lots of silos of all sizes moved all around the state for many people.
We have also been working on the new truck, getting it ready for its change of ownership inspection. With that now passed we can start kitting it out for moving silos. Can’t wait to get it on the road.
And before you know it, it will be grape carting season. We will have the big boss Geoff and his amazing offsider Bronwyn running around in his truck, and I’ll be running around in the new truck.
So watch this space for more updates.
