A good article here worth a read: It’s a cruel cycle the way the world works right now. We might not have bombs falling over our heads, but many people are dealing with a different kind of pressure, the mental strain of wondering if they can keep their business running, keep people employed, and provide for their families.
When diesel goes up, transport costs go up.
When transport costs go up, freight goes up.
When freight goes up, the cost of everyday goods goes up.
And who feels it the most? Families already doing it tough.
The frustrating part is that many small businesses are out here trying to do the right thing, paying staff properly, maintaining equipment, following regulations yet the margins keep getting squeezed tighter and tighter.
It becomes a bit of a roundabout mess where everyone is working harder just to stand still. Respect to the operators, drivers and small businesses out there grinding through it every day. 🚛💨
