The Victorian Government has two water-specific support programs available for households and landholders impacted by the recent fires.

💧ℹ️ Emergency Relief Drinking Water
If you rely on tank water and your water supplies have been emptied for firefighting or been contaminated, you may be eligible for up to 20,000L in replacement relief water.

💧ℹ️ Essential Water Replacement program
If water was taken from your dam, tank or water source for firefighting operations, you can request for it to be replaced.

Requests must be submitted within three months of the water being taken.

In August Jamie Hoskin & Marcus McLean will be participating in the Long Drive for Drought. This is a charity run that will see over 50+ classic Landcruiser utes travel through the outback of QLD to raise funds for the Farm Angels charity.

Farm Angels provide direct and timely financial assistance, essential resources and meaningful relief for Primary Producers across Australia impacted by drought and natural disasters. Their commitment is to provide heartfelt, discreet, and personalised support to farmers and rural communities.

The Long Drive for Drought started 4 years ago by Brent Reeman, a passionate 40 series Landcruier owner with the desire to help support the outback community, and let’s face it the heart of Australia is where most of our food comes from.

This year they are kicking off in the little mining town of Glenden in Central Queensland. From there we will head north to Charters Towers, west along the Flinders Highway through the beautiful towns of Hughenden, Richmond and then Julia Creek. Turning north we’ll travel through Gregory Downs stopping for the night at the historic Gregory Downs Hotel and then onto Burketown, take in the sunset at Karumba and finish in Normanton. While these communities have had plenty of recent rain and are in a good season, in recent times they have faced droughts, monsoonal deluges and back to back flooding events.
