IMF, LMY, MEQ, GLQ... You're probably thinking, WTF? 🤔

Well, WTF no more – here's your guide to all things Gundagai Lamb:

🐑 IMF = Intramuscular Fat
The fine fat that runs through the meat in your lamb; a higher IMF means more delicious marbling in your cut of meat.

🐑 LMY = Lean Meat Yield
Tells us how much of the lamb is meat (as opposed to fat). At Gundagai Lamb, we aim for the highest standards in LMY to help cut down on excess waste.

🐑 GLQ Score = Gundagai Lamb Quality Score
Our internal benchmark for grading the quality of each lamb. The higher the quality, the higher the score, with GLQ5+ our premium product (IYKYK).

🐑 MEQ Probe = Meat Eating Quality Probe
The piece of industry-first technology that we use to determine IMF; the MEQ probe gives us invaluable insights, that we then pass onto our farmers so they can continue to grow delicious, high-quality lamb.
