Les is going to blow his horn this weekend!

International Lighthouse and Lightship Weekend (ILLW) is coming up and to mark the occasion Queenscliffe Maritime Museum volunteers will be sounding the original foghorn of the Point Lonsdale Lighthouse at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

ILLW is about raising public awareness of lighthouses and the importance of preserving these significant historical and maritime icons.

The Borough is fortunate to have a relief of lighthouses across its shores, helping guide those at sea through the heads and safely to harbour.
