New Air Conditioning for this Lagoon 42 Catamaran. We’ve added a 12,000 BTU Marine Air Conditioning System to the starboard hull / aft cabin ahead of a Pacific crossing coming up. To accompany this we also expanded the Victron lithium Battery bank from 900ah to 1200ah. This system runs off the inverter while at sea and 6 x 400w Sunpower solar panels easily provides power back to the boat at 180amps when needed. Sometimes we get called out to some weird jobs. This homemade hydrofoil looks more like a space ship than a water craft. We had the job to rewire the electrics for the hydrofoil fins. Using pedal controlled potentiometers and linear actuators the helmsman can control all three hydrofoil fins pitch to the seas conditions, and riding above the waves means more speed and more control.

Job complete! Sea trials for a Catana Catamaran we just rewired and upgraded the system to lithium. We removed the old failed circuit boards and ribbon cable switch board for a classic BEP design and ran 18 cores all over the boat to junction boxes for ease of maintenance. To accompany this we also removed the old AGM bank of 10 batteries and installed a Victron NG lithium system @ 600ah with a Cerbo GX to monitor and control the system from the boat but also from your phone or laptop anywhere. This is a complete off grid system for blue water cruising, which includes Starlink, solar, alternator upgrades and an inverter charger. All Victron gear for the lithium upgrade so we won’t be encountering any issues. Depends on quality components and installations out at sea.

This is our latest off grid install. Say good bye to shore power and marinas and hello to blue water sailing. This lagoon has now a Victron Lithium NG system consisting of 900ah, VE BMS NG, 5 Solar MPPT regulators and a 5000/12 Victron Quattro inverter charger. We also have included modifications to the alternators and Balmar external regulators to gain the maximum potential out of the engines. A solar stainless frame is coming up next to house 1200w of Sunpower Maxeon III solar panels that will offer 120a charge. This install is done over a week including repairs to the B&G electronics system, Water maker and installation of 5 cabin fans.
