This vintage Volkswagen deserved a cover that looked like it belonged on the vehicle from day one.

For this project, we couldn’t simply make a standard tonneau cover and call it done. We spent time researching original designs and adjusting our pattern to capture the authentic look and proportions of this classic VW ute.

The result is a custom made cover that not only protects the tray but complements the character of the vehicle, blending modern materials and craftsmanship with a timeless design.

🚤 From Bare Frame to Boat Ready! 🚤

This Haines Hunter came to us with nothing but a frame, and left with a brand new custom Bimini, front clear and side clears ready to tackle whatever the weather throws at it.

Every part of this job was patterned from scratch to suit the boat and frame. The Bimini was fabricated using Neptune marine fabric, while the clears were made from 1.0mm Glacier Clear PVC for excellent visibility and protection on the water.

A lot of work goes into a setup like this before the finished product takes shape. From patterning directly on the boat, transferring patterns, cutting and sewing fabric, fitting zips, installing press studs and fabricating the clear panels, every section was carefully made to ensure a precise fit.

To keep the clears looking their best, each panel was protected throughout the fabrication process to minimise dust contamination and reduce the risk of scratching during manufacture.

The end result is a clean, tight fitting setup that not only looks the part but provides protection from the wind, spray and weather while out on the water.

Sometimes it just needs a little Mrs Fixit magic. ✨⚓

For this job, we replaced the rear clear panel with new clear PVC and custom made a door panel to close in the rear opening.

A fresh Bimini not only improves the look of the boat but also provides reliable protection from the sun and weather for years to come.

Using the original as a template, we manufactured a brand new replacement Bimini ready for many more days out on the water.

One of our favourite things about this job is seeing the old cover laid out beside the new one and knowing exactly how much life we’ve just added back into a boat.

These corner pad covers were recovered in durable black vinyl, giving them a clean, professional finish while protecting the foam underneath from wear and tear.

Giving the Portland Yacht Club Workboat Some Weather Protection

When you’re out on the water, protection from the elements isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity.

We custom made and fitted this rear wheelhouse enclosure for the Portland Yacht Club’s workboat, creating additional shelter from wind, rain and spray while maintaining access and visibility when needed.

Built to suit the existing frame, this enclosure was designed specifically for the vessel and its intended use on the water.

Not Your Average Forklift Accessory!

When your product can’t afford to be scratched, dented or marked, sometimes a standard forklift setup isn’t enough.

This customer needed protection between their forklift attachments and the cargo being handled, so we custom made a set of heavy duty protective sleeves.

Using 900gsm PVC and marine carpet, we manufactured two different sizes:

✔ One to suit standard forklift tynes
✔ One to suit a larger attachment that fits over the tynes
✔ Built for repeated industrial use
✔ Designed to help protect sensitive cargo during handling
