It is with great sadness that we announce the Kent Group, incorporating Spencer Gulf Coaches, Port Pirie Bus Service, and A.R. Kent Garage, will be permanently closing its doors, effective from Sunday, 3 May 2026.

As a proud third-generation family-owned and operated business, this is an incredibly difficult decision and not one that has been made lightly.

For many years, we have had the privilege of serving our community - supporting local schools, sporting clubs, community organisations, families, and businesses across the region. It has been an honour to be a part of so many journeys and milestones over the years.

We are extremely proud of what our team has achieved over the years and the role the Kent Group has played in the community.

To our staff, we extend our sincere gratitude for your hard work, loyalty and dedication. You have been the heart of this business.

To our valued customers, clients, and the wider community, thank you for your trust, support, and friendship over many years.

We also extend our thanks to Des's for supporting the continuation of essential public transport services for our community. Effective from Monday, 4 May 2026, the Port Pirie Town Bus, School Buses 1-4, Assisted Access and Southern Flinders Connector will now be operated by Des's Transport.

Clients with existing charter bookings will be contacted directly regarding their travel arrangements. We kindly ask that you check your email correspondence for further information.

While this is not the ending we had hoped for, we leave with immense pride in what has been built and genuine appreciation for everyone who has been a part of our story.
